This week, we’re giving you the lowdown on our recent campaign with fashion giant Jack Wills. With lounging around in our comfy clothes quickly becoming the new norm (who even wears jeans anymore!?) Jack Wills tasked us with the brief of helping with the creation and execution of their 2020 Christmas Campaign.
The Brief in Brief
Appointed as Jack Wills’ dedicated social agency, Komodo acted as an extension of the team, building out a 360°-influencer campaign and social strategy. From consultancy and creative ideation, to insight and reporting; the Komodo team proved that we really can do it all.
With the aim being to promote comfort at Christmas and drive awareness of Jack Wills’ loungewear to increase product sales, Komodo provided an in-depth social strategy to help market Jack Wills across multiple verticals. From weekly social consultancy, to launching Jack Wills’ TikTok channel, we really went to town!

At Komodo, social is at the heart of everything we do. Marketing campaigns work best when paired with a clear social strategy and so we took our time to understand Jack Wills’ goals and growth expectations in order to widen their audience, reach their Gen Z target market and boost their online presence. We carried out in an in-depth social media and competitor audit, and provided creative ideation and weekly social ideas and reports based on our findings. Without sounding like a proud parent, Jack Wills’ Instagram subsequently gained over 8,000 followers; a 3.4% increase overall.

Instagram Influencer Campaign
Here at Komodo, we live and breathe influencer marketing. Therefore, as part of our campaign strategy we sourced, contracted and briefed over 20 top-tier influencers from around the UK to create content across multiple social platforms. We worked with a variety of high-reaching and high-converting influencers who perfectly aligned with the Jack Wills messaging and brand; ranging from macro influencers such as the likes of Luke Trotman, Lissy Roddy, Ellie Josslin, and Emily Shak to mid-tier influencers such as Sophie Knight, Eliza Batten and Mei-Ying Chow. The influencers activated had a combined social following of over 13 million, with their content gaining over 6 million post impressions and 3 million engagements. The campaign ran across digital, OOH, in-store, TV and social marketing channels, proving to be a great success.
Jack Wills TikTok Takeover
Komodo successfully launched Jack Wills’ TikTok channel as another element to the 2020 Christmas Campaign. Through engaging relevant Gen-Z public figures, Komodo re-introduced Jack Wills to their target audience, built awareness on a mass scale and increased sales. We implemented a six-week TikTok strategy, working with a wide range of influencers and creators to build up a strong bank of content on the newly launched channel, ultimately driving users to follow and engage with the Jack Wills platform. In just six weeks, the Jack Wills TikTok exceed many other competitor brands on the platform with nearly 8,000 followers, over 3 million total views and an impressive 9,446,824 total reach from all creators.
